Dr. Rabie Hanna's Distinguished Scientific Participation at the Iraqi Fertility Conference

Dr. Rabie Hanna, Consultant Gynecologist and Head of the Surgery Department at Warith International Foundation for Oncology, participated in the 11th Conference of the Iraqi Fertility Society after receiving an official invitation to participate in this important scientific event.

During his participation, Dr. Rabie presented several advanced surgical solutions using laparoscopic surgery to preserve the fertility of women with certain malignant diseases. One of the most prominent of these solutions is the laparoscopic transfer of the uterus and ovaries to the upper abdominal cavity in cases requiring pelvic radiation therapy. This procedure is considered one of the pioneering fertility preservation procedures in Iraq and the Middle East.

Dr. Rabie also proposed additional solutions, including:

- Transferring only the ovaries to a location outside the radiation range to avoid damage.

- Freezing ovarian tissue and reimplanting it later after completion of malignant treatment.

These methods represent a qualitative medical advancement in the field of oncology treatment and fertility preservation, and embody Warith Foundation's commitment to providing comprehensive care that takes into account the future quality of life of patients.
